As reported in today’s StarTribune, the Minnesota Corn Growers Association this week announced a $460,000 grant for the NSF Center for Sustainable Polymers. This partnership will support research in the center to improve the toughness, strength, and thermal stability of corn-based plastics. Researchers will also work to produce corn-based, eco-friendly polyesters and plastics.
