4-H: The CSP is excited to collaborate with 4-H to develop physical science curriculum for youth participants in Minnesota, New York, and California. 4-H is the youth development organization of the national Cooperative Extension System, which through the land-grant University system makes 4-H programming available to more than 6 million youth across the country. Our current partners are the University of Minnesota Extension Center for Youth Development, the University of California 4-H Youth Development Program, and the Cornell University Cooperative Extension 4-H Youth Development.
SciGirls: The CSP has partnered with Twin Cities Public Television's SciGirls to develop materials for distribution through the SciGirls website and their after school program partners nationwide.
St. Paul Public Schools: The CSP is delighted to partner with St. Paul Public Schools (SPPS) to provide content and professional development opportunities for SPPS teachers in the area of sustainable polymers!
Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement (CAREI): CAREI's mission is to improve the quality of education for all learners through neutral, rigorous research and evaluatoin of educational contexts and initiatives. The CSP is fortunate to have such an experienced team to evaluate our education and outreach programs, so that we can continuously work to improve and strengthen the impact of our efforts.
Department of Theater Arts and Dance: In partnership with members of the University of Minnesota Department of Theater Arts and Dance (Luverne Seifert and Dario Tangelson), CSP graduate students and postdoctoral researchers practice their communication skills and learn how to engage audiences through interactive workshops.
Science for All Outreach: The CSP is proud to support the graduate student outreach group, "Science for All". Graduate students meet with students every other week to perform hands-on experiments and learn about the scientific method.
Chemistry Department Outreach Program: The Chemistry Department Outreach Program offers demonstrations and chemistry career discussions in local elementary, junior high, and senior high school classes. They also participate in events at the Science Museum of Minnesota, The Works, local PTA meetings, the State Fair, and Chemistry Day at the University.
CSE Office of Diversity and Outreach: The Institute of Technology's Office of Diversity and Outreach promotes academic excellence and supports underrepresented students and women earning bachelor's degrees in engineering, physical sciences, and mathematics.
